Our grade 10 art students are planning and art exhibition. We would like to use the ipod touch as audio guide for the even. Witch app will you use for that ? I want to create a kind of virtual museum.

I'd create it using GarageBand (on a Mac, but PowerPoint can do this, too, by exporting as a movie) and simply add it to the iPod using iTunes as a podcast/movie.
This allows audio, visuals, text - even video if you must.
It's easy to play, and has great controls for skipping forward or back etc
