A colleague up here in QLD sent this link to me, I wish I had an intel mac
This is a course you can do for free and it teaches you how to make apps. You do require an intel mac to download the sdk (software development kit).

There are some good little shortcuts here especially the one where the magnifying glass pops up so as you can move the cursor for spelling mistakes. Check it out!
