Over the weekend came across an app called Educate costs about $8-9. Seems to have potential. Some of the features include:

As you know on your iPod touch you can access bookmarks (favourite websites) in safari. Now you can use 'bookmarklets' to able to search webpages and carry out other functions. They are little pieces of java script which allow you extra functionality in safari. I am still doing some research on these and will re-post when I have it all figured out.

Did you know the app store in iTunes has been opearating for only 6-7 months and in that time there has been over 15 000 apps developed for the iPhone/iPod touch? Also did you know that these apps have been downloaded close to over a billion times?
Most people are aware of the online maths program called Mathletics well now they have released an app called Live Mathletics which can be downloaded from the iTunes store for $3.99.

I have across a fantastic podcast in the iTunes store called Learning in Hand: iPods which talks about using iPod touches in the classroom and also apps that can be used as well. This podcast is created by an American teacher called Tony Vincent, his blog can be accessed here

I was listening to a podcast on the weekend from the USA and they were speaking about an app called FlipBook which allows students to create their own flipbooks and shre them with class mates. Costs $12.99 - I haven't tried it but it looks good.

On the weekend as you do when you bump into another teacher with an iphone you start talking and swapping favourite apps. Deb Morton from Hillston CS showed me an app called 'Attendance' which allows you to mark your class roll from your iphone and or ipod touch. Further information can be found at this site
